About the Artist

Melody was born in Izmir, Turkey, and discovered her rich imagination and passion for art at an early age. Following this passion, she pursued her studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts, graduating with a degree in Painting. Her artistic journey has been shaped by continuous growth and creative exploration, always seeking new techniques and visions to express herself.

In her work, Melody blends traces of the real world with the boundless, free images of her imagination, creating a new, fictional reality. Elements from the real world are not depicted as they are but are filtered through her mental process—bent, reshaped, and reborn. Each image comes to life not through direct observation, but through inner perception and unique interpretation. This transformation invites the viewer to transcend the familiar and immerse themselves in a world where imagination and reality merge.

Her creative process is driven by a desire to uncover mysteries and connections hidden beyond the visible. She draws inspiration from nature, film scenes, photographs, and spirituality, adding depth and meaning to her work. In addition to traditional painting techniques, as a multidisciplinary artist, she also engages with photography and videography, effectively integrating digital tools to blend various forms of creative expression. She currently creates her artworks in Bodrum.
